BeyMF::. MerNile + PirateMomo - Dump

Ok, I made this illustrations collection for several reasons:
1. I wanted to practice with backgrounds.
2. I wanted to make something for Momo's birthday (wich was on April 24th. Sadly I couldn't finish this on time *cries* )
3. I just came up with a new AU story and I wanted to illustrate some scenes.

Alright, so this was supposed to be kinda inspired on the Little Mermaid, but I think it looks more like a strange mix between the Little Mermaid and Pirates of the Caribbean

So as you can see, Nile is a merman and Momo is a pirate (Mama hyena is there too! )
Usually in all my stories related to them, Momo is the one that falls in love with Nile, but Nile has zero interest (or dislikes) on Momo, he develops feelings for her after a long time later.
But in this story, things are somewhat different, Nile is the one that falls in love with Momo. I made it like this cause I wanted to try something different, plus this story is supposed to be a birthday gift for Momo and I guess she'll be quite happy with something like that

Story Summary:

Mer!Nile is a merman that was born in Egypt, but when he was a little child he got lost on the sea and got separated from his family and his clan. He ended up in King Ryusei's territory, he felt sorry for the poor child and he accepted him on his kingdom and let him stay on the palace. When Nile grew up, he became a knight of the palace.

Nile is a very serious and cold person who takes his duties very seriously (but despite this, he's kind hearted), and he has some kind of repulsion towards humans, specially pirates as they tend to be so destructive; for Nile all humans are the same, Ryusei tried to teach him that humans are not perfect like every other creature on the planet, but Nile is too stubborn to understand. Nile's life in general is kind of monotonous, but he tries to convince himself that he's happy.

Momo is the captain of a pirate crew and she travels with her crew and her adoptive mother "Mama hyena". Herself and her crew consider themselves as "outcasts", each one of them where rejected by society somehow, so they have decided to give their backs to society. Momo is in love with the sea and adores adventures (specially if they include a treasure), and her life is pretty much improvised, she never knows what to expect the next day. Despite being a vulgar woman with no moral or honor, Momo is not all that bad, she
actually has a kind heart that she hides very well, for example, she respects animals and will kill anyone who hurts or kill an animal for fun (Momo only kills an animal if her life is in danger or if she need it to feed herself, otherwise she's kind and respectful with them). Since she had so many deceptions on the past, plus she's a captain of a pirate crew, she closed her heart to love, even if she likes the idea of falling in love with someone and having someone who loves her very much, she can't take the risk.

Nile met Momo one day when a dolphin got traped in the fishnet of Momo's ship, he was about to save the dolphin, but he got a big surprise when he saw Momo (a person he already saw causing chaos in a island that was close by) helping the dolphin. That event created confusion and curiosity on Nile's mind, so unconsciously he developed the habit of watching Momo in secret. The fact that he developed such an habit annoyed Nile very much and it made him feel angry at himself, he also was starting to feel curious about Momo's way of life and wondered how was to be on different adventures everyday. Slowly, Nile's curiosity was starting to turn into something else and it officially became "love" when one day he saved Momo to die drowned when she fell on sea with an injury (she was fighting against a rival pirate crew); Nile regreted to have saved her as he then started to feel something unknown and intense for her, he disliked to feel that way for a pirate woman.

Nile did his best to try to forget everything and tried to live his life as usual, but he couldnt and was starting to fall into a depression. That depression lead him to take a risky desition: he decided to go with the Sea Sorcerer Doji (a creature that make your wishes come true, but for a high price. He likes chaos, but he never directly provoke it) to ask him a way to meet Momo. Doji turned Nile into a human in exchange for his voice; Nile could stay with Momo as a human all the time he desires, but if someday he decides to declares his feelings to her, she has to accept him to stay as a human, if she rejects him he will turn back into a merman and will become Doji's prisoner (and Doji will either sell him or use his fluids for his poisons).

Momo took human Nile as part of her crew, cause she considered him an outcast like all of them (she thought he was either abandoned or abused). Once as a member of Momo's crew, Nile at first regreted his desition of becoming a human and rebuked himself for being so impulsive, but later he was starting to fall in love with the way of life of a pirate, plus he loved to be close to Momo. Nile could say he finally found his happiness.


Aaaaand that's pretty much the summary of this AU, or at least the beginning of the story

Mer!Kyoya (King Ryusei's apprentice and successor)
Mer!Benkei (Kyoya's best friend)
Zeo, Toby, Jack & Damian (Momo's crew)
The Garcias (the rivals of Momo's crew)
Ginga (an hybrid of human and merman. He's Ryusei son, but he lives as human and is not aware of his merman inheritance)
Rago aka "Captain Nemesis" (the main antagonist of the story)
